Warranty

ProPlusWarranty

Enjoy the protection of the Helmet Center’s exclusive “Protection Plus” warranty. With most other suppliers of law enforcement helmets, as soon as you paint it, or install a communications kit in it, it voids the factory warranties. This goes for Arai, Shoei and most every brand out there. Here’s where WE step in. If you purchase any helmet and communication system from us, and we install it, we will provide your department the full factory warranty on both the helmet, and the headset, for the same length as the manufacturers warranty. Plus, when we do the install, we also warranty the installation for the life of the helmet. The factory warranties are listed within the description of each helmet on our helmet/headset page. The warranty for either the Setcom, or PVP headsets is one year from the date of installation. Please read the section below to explain this a little further, so you understand what is covered under any warranty claim.

For helmet / communications kits purchased, and installed by us.

For helmets – Warranty covers manufacturers defects, such as broken vents, leaking seals, snaps, paint and mechanical failures. Warranties do NOT cover abuse, crashes, drops, or damage from someone else installing communications, mishandling or misuse, or general wear and tear.

For communication kits – Warranty covers manufacturers defects, such as crackling speakers, mic failures, or wire failures. Warranties do NOT cover abuse, crashes, improper installations from someone else, or general wear and tear.

For helmet / communications kits purchased, but NOT installed by us.

For helmets – Warranty covers manufacturers defects, such as broken vents, leaking seals, snaps, paint and mechanical failures. Warranties do NOT cover abuse, crashes, drops, or damage from someone else installing communications, mishandling or misuse, or general wear and tear.

If your department had someone else paint it, or install communications in it, your warranty is VOID from the manufacturer, and those affected items are NOT covered by The Helmet Center either. We will do our best to assist you in fixing any situation, but understand that if a 3rd party does something to cause a warranty issue, that neither we, nor the manufacturer, will be held responsible for it.

For communication kits – Warranty covers manufacturers defects, such as crackling speakers, mic failures, or wire failures. Warranties do NOT cover abuse, crashes, improper installations from someone else, or general wear and tear.

If your department had someone else install your communications in it, you warranty is still valid from the manufacturer, provided it was installed correctly. If there is a warranty issue with a kit that we didn’t install, the department must un-install it, and send the kit back to us for a warranty claim. We will do our best to assist you in fixing any situation, but understand that if a 3rd party does something to cause a warranty issue, that neither we, nor the manufacturer, will be held responsible for it. Examples would be bent or cut wires, damaged mics, wires severed or pulled out, etc.

We, as The Helmet Center strive to assist wherever we can if there IS any issue with an order – Unfortunately you have to put things down in writing to eliminate any “grey” areas that can turn in to issues with an order later on. This is simply to protect all parties involved from any unspoken assumptions. We will always try our best to right a situation in the best interest of all parties involved. It is this commitment to our customers that has lead us to be the most trusted name in law enforcement helmets and headsets today.
